Hello!
Recently I made my first purchase at the Acne Studios store in Dover Street.
I've been saving for a while to make a trip there, and although it was more rushed than I had hope (I didn't really get to look around because I was meeting a friend in Yumchaa straight after), I found exactly what I had been looking for.
Et here it is...the Trans ce top in white.
It's pretty simple, slick (et slightly see-through ;p), these are all things that I love about it.
The cut of the neckline sits just in the right place, with the underarm line resting quite low (this makes it really comfortable to wear) the straps aren't too thick or thin either, which is something I struggle to find in tops similar to this.
I know that you could buy a bunch of similar styled tops from somewhere cheaper like Primark, however the quality, the fit, the fabric, all of this won't be anywhere near the quality you'll find from a designer like Acne Studios.
Because I wear so much vintage, et I believe that reusing et recycling fabric et clothing is important to sustaining the environment, I decided that if I am going to purchase anything new, it's going to be well made, with good fabrics that will stand the test of time. I want clothing that will last me more than one season, something that I can wear over et over again et not just chuck away after a couple of wears.
Acne Studios understands the above, they incorporate this concept into each of their designs, et that's one of the reasons why I'll keep going there until my bank account runs dry ;)
You can read more about the Acne Studios Environmental Strategy here:
So far I've teamed it with my highwaisted black jeans from Monki and my Wang booties...I'm going to try it out with a long black skirt, which I think will look super cute.
Because it's such a simple design, it will go with pretty much everything I team it with. Et that's the kind of top I've been looking for.
Ciao!
